We Are Indebted to Many
The Oshkosh Civility Project grew out of a visit to the community of Tahoe Truckee, California. There the "Speak Your Peace" campaign being advanced by the Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation was a source of creative inspiration. We quickly learned that the folks in California were using and developing the "Speak Your Peace" model that was originally developed by the Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation.
We also subsequently learned that this work was based on the work of Professor P.M. Forni from Johns Hopkins University. In particular, Dr. Forni's two books on the subject of civility. Attention is directed to: Choosing Civility and the Civility Solution.
